Many people may not understand the unmanned aircraft positioning system (unmanned aerial vehicle positioning), but it is this kind of system that can ensure that we are safe and reliable every time we fly.
This article will allow you to understand as much as possible how the positioning system guarantees our flight safety.
The drone has three built-in positioning modes:
GPS mode, visual positioning, attitude mode.
First, we need to ensure that each flight is carried out in GPS mode, and then explain the difference between the three modes and their trigger conditions.

1. GPS mode (position by satellite)
1. How to get in.
After the aircraft is powered on, it starts in the airspace environment. When the satellite signal reaches 9 or more, it automatically switches to the GPS mode.
2. Functions in GPS mode.
Precise suspension.
When hovering accurately, the remote control will not move, and the aircraft will hover steadily in six directions up and down, flying within the maximum wind resistance range, and there will be no special deviation in the position of the aircraft.
Use GPS to start automatic return home.
Start intelligent flight in GPS mode.
2. Visual positioning (positioning by the visual sensor mounted on the aircraft)
1. How to get in.
When the GPS signal is insufficient, but the light is sufficient, and the ground texture is clear, the aircraft will automatically enter the visual positioning mode (Royal 2 series), equipped with an LED fill light under the AIR2, which can automatically light up when there is insufficient light to assist visual positioning.
Why does the aircraft have insufficient GPS signal?
a. The aircraft is opened indoors or in a place that is not open enough.
After starting, the aircraft did not have enough time to search for signals.
Countermeasure: Take off and land in an open environment, check that there are no obstacles on the top or side of the aircraft, and wait a while.
3. Functions under visual positioning.
It can be accurately positioned, the maximum flying altitude is 10 meters, and it does not have the intelligent start function and automatic return to home.
3. Attitude mode (cannot be positioned)
If the GPS signal and the ambient light are insufficient or the ground texture is uneven (under the water surface bridge hole), the aircraft will not be able to perform GPS positioning (drone positioning) and visual positioning. Using the barometer sensor, the vertical height of the aircraft can be maintained continuously, but the aircraft cannot be positioned automatically. At this time, the aircraft will be affected by the surrounding wind and inertia and move in a larger range, so we strongly recommend not to fly in this way.
